Don’t block the box.
Organizational gridlock is real. Seemingly small moves, that take down the the whole system.
To solve this problem you must address the three systems of culture, conflict, and change.
Nobody’s blocking the box because they’re selfish or stupid. They’re blocking the box because our systems are quietly telling them that’s the smart move.
Your culture does this through hidden patterns that weaken collaboration and innovation. Your conflict system does this by preventing the right people from having the right difficult conversations at the right time. Your change system does this by preventing you from choosing the right change, committing to it, and actually completing it.
I can help with that.
Strategic Advisory
Ongoing counsel to navigate the systems change that will release your gridlock.
Strategic advisory is the core of my practice—ongoing thought partnership with leaders who need to break the gridlock. You get regular strategic sessions, plus direct access when you’re working through difficult decisions, contentious board issues, or culture change. The value is having someone who understands the intersection of culture, conflict, and change, so you can see what’s actually blocking progress and avoid wasteful surface-level solutions.

Request a Private Briefing
I offer a limited number of no-cost, private briefings with leaders where we explore one of your most pressing systems issues in a 60-minute virtual session.
Better Conflict Outcomes
Helping your teams to have the conversations that matter—more effectively.
Sometimes a single conversation is blocking everything else—a conflict between key leaders, a stuck strategy debate, or a team that’s stopped functioning. I facilitate these challenging conversations to get past the impasse and create a path forward. I regularly add facilitation services to my ongoing advisory projects, but I also do stand-alone facilitation projects as needed.
Need to Build Capacity Quickly? Get Some Training
I have been delivering a half-day training in “Managing Conflict with Confidence” for decades. I can deliver this for your team (in-person preferred), and individuals can take the course themselves online through a partner website.
Culture Change
Full-service consulting projects that take your organization to the next level.
These are comprehensive diagnostic and implementation projects—typically 3-6 months of work to diagnose what’s blocking execution, prioritize interventions, and design an action plan. My signature work includes Culture Design (featuring the proprietary WorkXO assessment), which finds and fixes your troubling culture patterns, and I can add in Conflict System Design, which addresses the systemic impediments to effective conflict conversations.
All my work is customizable.
I’ve been doing this long enough that I don’t need to fit you into a rigid process. We’ll figure out together how best to leverage my strengths to meet your needs.
How to Begin
I do a limited number of private briefings each month for leaders navigating change.
If you’re wrestling with culture, change, or conflict challenges where outside perspective would help, let’s talk. These aren’t sales conversations—they’re strategic conversations about what you’re facing, and whenever possible we’ll do some real problem solving during the briefing.
The focus of the briefing is up to you:
- Board or leadership team consistently producing ineffective
- AI implementation struggling due to culture/change capacity issues
- “We’ve always done it that way” getting in the way of the change we need
- Strategic initiatives stalling despite executive clarity
30 Years of Experience
Jamie and his partners understand what makes organizations successful. And more than that, they understand how to make those organizations understand. Before engaging Jamie to help us learn how to shape our culture in successdriving ways, I thought of our organizational culture as a product of our success. Now, I understand that our success is, in fact, a product of our culture. Nurturing our culture is nurturing our success.”
